DJI MINI 3 _ THE TINY $469 DRONE - Filmmaker Review part 2

so let's get some Bola Sunset shots and then talk about the camera  so if you have strong winds like that always start flying Against the Wind so that way you ensure that you can always come back with the Tailwinds if you fly now if I would fly that way with the wind and would try to get back I may struggle to come back because of the battery life so trick is always flight Against the Wind at the beginning and then work your way back otherwise you may be in trouble and I've heard people have done this before  I found it I'm just kidding I didn't crash it but let's talk about the camera the sensor as a photographer and filmmaker this is what I care mostly about and even you as a beginner you may wonder how good the camera and the image and video quality is not this tiny drone here Sports a 1 over 1.3 inch sensors and it is in larger sensor now than the mini 2 and the same size as the Mini 3 Pro now the lens here is a 24 millimeter equivalent with a 1.7 locked aperture the slow aperture and the Dual oh geez this this is how windy it is it's not on it's just like turning it into the wind

but this low aperture and the new dual native ISO makes it a really good camera for low light conditions additionally it uses this Jesus like you're gonna chop off my face with this additionally is using this dual native ISO to generate an HDR image now it's using basically lower gain ISO to capture the bright areas of the of the image and the low gain ISO for darker image areas and then combines it immediately create this HDR image now the photo size you can shoot 12 megapixel JPEG and RAW this is a lower pixel count than the Mini 3 Pro which has 48 megapixels but since it's the same sensor size your pixels are actually larger 2.4 micrometers actually to be precise and again in that case as well it allows you to shoot better low light images now another feature my mavic 3 doesn't have is two vertical shooting

so this camera actually can turn around while you're flying you just switch it over to a vertical mode allowing you to compose your images vertically especially if you upload it to YouTube shorts or to your Instagram reel or even Instagram photos it allows you to compose your photos now vertically because in some certain circumstances actually vertical compositions are way more interesting and allow you to capture certain subjects in a more immersive way this drone like many other DJI drone can shoot in D center-like allowing you in post to have more flexibility because of that flatter image but unlike its bigger brother the mavic 3 it shoots only an 8-bit color depth now what does that mean I would basically say that you should not shoot in decent alike because as soon as you start grading the footage and especially if you shoot larger gradients like the sky you will see some banding and some artifacts but the normal image profile is is really good and allows still for some slight color grading without any Distortion or any any artifacts so my recommendation is shoot in the normal color profile and you will be golden especially with this HDR image you get some really good stuff out of this and since this drone is designed for hobbyists this is the way to go for most people anyway all right now we're back from Southern California and in my studio and since this drone here is advertised as an affordable entry-level drone

we have to talk about pricing and the Drone itself if you get it with a battery is 559 dollars but that doesn't come with an RC if you want to get a bundle with the DJI IRC that's the one with this monitor which I really dig honestly I've always used one without a monitor and I always put up my phone this djr rcn1 that still works with it it's always cumbersome so like flying it with this monitor actually really really convenient but this together as a bundle is 6.99 now you can also get the fly more package which is coming with this charging Hub and two extra batteries and this carrying bag here that is then clocking in at 7 18 without the remote or 858 with the remote with the RC now this is still a lot of dough but 200 less than the pro now if you don't need obstacle avoidance or if you don't need 4K 60 because this one only shoots at 4K 30 which is totally fine for me honestly then the Mini 3 may be your top Contender all the accessories that work on the mini 3 Pro have been designed for the Mini 3 Pro like the charging Hub the batteries themselves the ND filters and also the remotes all work with a Mini 3 as well

so if the Mini 3 Pro was too expensive for you or if you want to upgrade from a mini 2 to a drone with a longer fly time and better image quality especially in low light or if you want to get started in general in the Drone space and just want to have a little companion on your travel and get that aerial view the Mini 3 is possibly the best way to go right now what's in the market or if you are like me very much into drones and you always like to have one with you but don't want to carry much of weight for example on a hike and don't want to draw too much attention to you this one is a great B Drone to have with you as well now should you decide to get this drone and you want to support this channel simply use the links in the description below as always I really appreciate your engagement your comments your support overall what we're building here stay tuned for that short film and as always have a good morning have a good night whenever and wherever you are around this beautiful planet bye bye
